Thank you for your e-mails and calls. My family and I are doing well. We spent a lot of quality time together last week. This week has been a bit busier: making a slide show and keepsakes for my dad's memorial service, which will be this Saturday.
God has given me a lot of peace. There have definitely been some tearful hours. One of the most difficult things was walking into my parents' house and looking at the chair my dad would always sit in. When I got home, he would get up, reach out to me with open arms, and say, "Mi hija!" It gets my eyes watery just writing about it. He was a wonderful dad. I am going to miss him greatly. Although there is sadness, when I think of my dad I am at peace and joyful; he is in a better place, a place with no tears.
Again, thank you for your love. I love you very much. God loves you soooo much more.

How wonderful it is to live loosely, to not be bogged down by the cares of this world: by what people say, by what one has, or doesn't have. How wonderful it is to live for God, to do what He asks, to follow Christ's example. I was a slave to sin. He has freed me, freed me to live loosely, and freed me from the torment that was coming my way before I accepted His payment for it. What a wonderful God!
