The Best Two Years!

Two Years as a Christian July-12, 2005- July 17, 2007

God has given me the wisdom and/or strength to:
(2005)
-see how much he loves me (July- 'til today)
-give up sex (July)
-forgive some men that had hurt me (August)
-see the emptiness and hurt that comes when we put someone other then God in the center of our lives and was able to share the answer to that problem: Jesus (November and 'til today)
-witness people accept the love of Jesus when I went with members of my church to New Orleans for Thanksgiving to love, help, and feed people.
-celebrate Christmas as it should be, believing that God came down to dwell among men. Indeed- as DC talk says, my best friend was born in a manger...
(2006)
-have a wonderful whole year as a Christian-- written in my Christmas letter and Summer Europe Journal.
-get over impossible love. I hadn't mentioned this in any of my entries, but it has been the most difficult thing I have had to do. God says it well: Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23. Taking a man who one can not be with out of one's mind is extremely difficult, but as Philippians 4:13 tells us: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We should be very careful not to spend much time with someone of the opposite sex and be very aware of what their relationship status is and what they are involved with.
(2007)
-realized God's awesomeness in a new way as I looked at a snow flake and saw it's intricacies. They are all different, magnificently shaped. The ones from the snow blower are all clumps...
-depend on Him for guidance and hope as my mentoring program was not accepted by three of the five local middle schools.
-teach an 8th grade class for two months (Jan-March)
-trust in Him to guide my future, which includes leaving the country (March until now)
-completely trust in Him to give a speech. I was sooo scared to give it. I thought I was going to lose my job, get the school in trouble... None of these things happened. They could of, but even if they did, God's got it. He has me in His hands and He will never leave me nor forsake me (June)
-lead and see many girls be touched by God's love at a Christian camp (June)
-realize what marriage is: to be joined to one another, to compliment one another, to love and respect one another as Christ asks us, keeping Him in the center... I was able to go to a beautiful Christian wedding full of lovely Christ followers, laughed and danced a ton. :)
-be patient as I home school two, sometimes three, boys. It has been wonderful (June-'til now).
Glory to God!
